2018 ANNUAL REPORT

LEADING OTHERS TO FOLLOW JESUS AND HIS ESSENTIAL METHODS FOR MAKING DISCIPLES THROUGH MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS.

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
– John 17:20-21

Bob & Sue Reed

In April, TheMET announced Bob Reed as Cypress Campus Pastor. Bob brings over 25 years of ministry experience and is driven by his passion to develop leaders and help churches make disciples of Jesus through meaningful relationships. As a seasoned lead pastor, Bob’s leadership has been essential in continuing to build a discipleship culture that meets the needs of the Cypress community. Bob has been married to his wife Sue for over 25 years, and they have four amazing kids (Brianna, Bryce, Chase and Seth), a wonderful son-in-law (Isai) and the most adorable grandchild (Willow).

Cypress Church Plant

In October TheMET Church members voted in overwhelming unity of 97% in favor to branch the Cypress campus as a church plant and to sell 70 acres of excess land. This decision leaves the Cypress campus with 30 acres to expand and grow with a much more reasonable level of debt. Upon the close of the land sale, the Jones Rd campus is now completely debt free - praise the Lord!
