Dewberry seemed to be running perfectly until the Pie Slingers raided the town.
That must have been a terrible shock!
How do you think the people of Dewberry will treat their enemies?
I hope they remember what Jesus says:
Love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. (Luke 6:35-36)
During the holidays, it can be especially difficult to love those who are hard to love. But the story of Christmas reminds us that we were loved even when we sinned against God. Jesus was a gift we didn’t deserve.
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us….Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
(1 John 3:16,18)
In what ways can our family choose to love even when it’s hard?
