God is passionate about healthy marriages. He designed marriage as a special relationship where two uniquely created people come together in a union. Our marriages are designed to strengthen each other as we fulfill the purposes God has given us in this life.
We also know that healthy marriages require intentional effort to cultivate a lifelong love. At TheMET, we want to come alongside and support you in all phases of your relationship including premarital, seasons of growth, and seasons of distress. Join with us as we seek to guide one another in honoring God through stronger marriages.

Resources that help you strengthen your relationship.
Your engagement is the best time to walk through key conversations. Our premarital class provides a group setting in which we walk through core conversations that lead to healthier marriages. This applies to first and second marriages as we discuss the impact of personalities, family upbringing, expectations, faith, conflict styles and so much more. We use the Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) curriculum and assessment as the foundation for this class.
If you would like premarital counseling email Rick Theriot to schedule a time to meet. Our premarital counseling normally occurs over 7-8 – 1 hour session although adjustments can be made to accommodate your schedule.
Building a marriage that lasts takes intentionality, prayer and encouragement from others. We are launching a class for couples married 5 years or less that are looking for community and desire to do life together with other couples in their same stage. Each Sunday we will walk through materials that help us strengthen both our marriage and our faith. Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am in room 322. (Located on the third floor of the main atrium building)
It is vital for us to fight for relationships including God-honoring marriages. We understand that all marriages experience difficult seasons and we want to support one another in these times. Mentoring involves two or more couples meeting in a casual setting to walk through specific difficulties. Mentors are not counselors, but couples who have chosen to help other couples walk through difficult seasons using God’s truths and their life experiences.
