Church Family,

The past few seasons here at TheMET have seen many transitions. God’s purposes in these transitions have led us to become more obedient and will help us receive what God has in store for TheMET. This is a brand-new day and I believe God is calling us onward and upward. We are called to represent Christ as we make the love of Jesus more visible to the community in which we serve.

This campaign, Visible, is a call to each and every one of us as followers of Christ to get in the game. It is a challenge for us to make our own faith more evident in the way we give and the way we serve those God has called us to love. It is a conviction of the leadership of this church to do whatever we can to create environments where people can easily connect to God and to His church.

Our church is faced with challenges, such as aging and tired facilities, repurposing of land, and the current use of spaces. This is accompanied by our need to increase our faith in the way we bring our offerings to God. Our community has changed over the years and the demographics are ever-shifting, but the mission of making disciples of Jesus has never changed. I am going to ask you to join with me as well as our church sta and leadership in bringing a sacrificial offering, over and above your the, for the next three years.

Please examine the contents of this brochure carefully and then prayerfully commit your own life in faith to becoming a vital part of what our great God is about to do in our midst. We are asking everyone who attends our church to joyfully participate and share in the victory of these days. Through it all, please remember these words of Scripture:

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
- Ephesians 3:20-21

Our Mission: Leading others to follow Jesus and His essential methods for making disciples through meaningful relationships.

We preach it, we teach it, we train it into our small group leadership, and we practice it – we are made for relationship. We are committed to do whatever it takes to make the love of Jesus visible again in our community, inviting them into a relationship with Jesus. From mission strategies to facilities – we will do anything we can to connect people to Jesus and to His church.

We Could…

STUDENT BUILDING $100,000-$200,000 Update the interior of the student building with break-out rooms for small groups, new furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Outside we could create a grass eld for park-like ac vi es and an outdoor basketball court.

CARE CENTER – GRANDER VISION $8 MILLION-$10 MILLION
Build a relevant and community focused multi-purpose care center. This will be a facility where we carry out the compassion ministries of our church. The center could have an indoor sports court, classrooms, kitchen, eating area, and meeting areas. This care center could host community events, ministry activities, and weddings, etc.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God…He is also the head of the church, which is his body.

Visible

Over the next three years, we are inviting you to participate in making the love of Jesus more Visible through the ministries and facilities of TheMET Church. There are three basic categories to our campaign: what we Must do, what we Should do, and what we Could do. Our facilities are tired and aged and desperately need an update. In our updating, we are repurposing our facilities to foster relational environments where people can connect to Jesus and to you, His church. Included in these renovations: a response area, prayer area, interior and exterior signage, lobby repurposing, and the beautification of the Worship Center. As responsible stewards of what we’ve been given, we believe we Must do these things.

Along with what is seen, there are things that are unseen that should be prioritized. Our technology is nearly 20 years old in almost every space in our buildings, some of which is failing regularly. Our parking areas are in desperate need of resurfacing. Finally, our Next Genera on areas for Kids and Pre-school need to be fully completed in their theming and functionality for both weekend programming, as well as The Lamb School. Areas in our student facility need to be reinvented for the purposes of relational small groups and maintaining mission-centered ministry.

When we have completed the updating of our facilities, we will embark on a grander vision together – what we Could do. Our prayer is that within the next five years, TheMET will build a community center, creating opportunities to serve and care for our local community through unprecedented amounts of compassion.

How Is This Different Than My Tithe?

We bring our offerings to God each and every weekend. It is a mark of one who knows and is following Jesus. The “Visible” campaign is a giving initiative. We are asking for you and your family to make a contribution over and above your regular tithes and offerings over the next 3 years. This campaign’s goal is to raise $5,000,000 for capital and missional strategies that exceed our regular annual ministry budget.
