Our MISSION at MET Kids is to reach, teach and train kids to be Disciples.
We believe in 5 Core Values:
1) Develop Christ Followers
2) Empower Kids to Share Christ
3) Raise up Next Generation Worshippers
4) Enable Kids’ Passion for God’s Word, Prayer and Missions
5) Guide Kids to make wise choices according to Scripture
The MET is all about making disciples who go and make other disciples. The NEXTGEN ministry team at The MET loves to partner with you as we train our next generation to be disciples. As part of this partnership, our strategy to accomplish our goal is to be the BEST 2 HOURS of every kids’ week! Our hope is that this will have an impact on the way they live the other 166 hours each week. If this is done well, it will also be exciting for our leaders who serve.
Our Goal is…
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Join the folks in Dewberry, as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas Season. Learn of the exciting tale of the terrifying Pie Slingers and their attempt to find Christmas. Each week a new chapter of the tale unfolds. So, sit back, snuggle up with your family, and have a piece of pie as we learn the true meaning of Christmas. Click Here

All instances of baptism follow an individual’s decision to trust Jesus alone for their salvation. At TheMET, we wait until children are old enough to believe and understand the true meaning of baptism before we baptize them. When a child makes a decision for Christ, we gladly baptize them as a symbol of their faith in Christ.
But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. (Acts 8:12)
‘Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.’ So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. (Acts 10:47-48)
We believe children are a gift from God. “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” Psalm 127:3 We want to celebrate your child and come alongside you by offering Child dedications. This is a time for parents, to commit themselves to raising their child God’s way. It’s a time for parents to embrace the responsibility they’ve been given by God and to see the impact they can make in their child’s life. We make these events special by encouraging the whole family to join us since it is an event that families will always remember. We would love for you to join us for our next Child Dedication. Invite your family, friends & Small Group to come celebrate with you!
If you would like to dedicate your child or children, the first step is to attend our Child Dedication Class. This class covers the Biblical reasons for child dedication, discusses basic parenting principles, and offers tools and resources that our Preschool Ministry has available to help you on your journey of being the primary disciple maker of your home. We do offer Ministry Care for your children during this time.
We are so excited that you are interested in volunteering in TheMET Kids Ministry! Our volunteers are the backbone of our ministry and we want you on our team.
