Special Needs Ministry

Belong - Safe - Loved - Special - Disciples

Our Mission

Inviting people with special needs into meaningful relationship with God and each other.

Why do we exist?
Why do we exist?

To disciple those with special needs and their families to be actively learning, cared for, and part of the body of Christ, the church.

What do we value?
What do we value?
  • Helping others experience the love of Jesus
  • Have a ton of fun
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all
What do we provide?
What do we provide?

Sunday morning discipleship at 9:30 and 11:00

Wednesday night discipleship during Fall and Spring Semesters

Parent support and care through Bible Studies, Tend the Soul on Thursday Nights, and Small Groups

When do we succeed?

When everyone God has created is seen as a valuable part of the body of Christ?

…this happened so that the power of God could be seen…
John 9:2-3

What milestones on the parent path do we celebrate for our special needs members?

Blessing us with sweet, pure joy. Hard workers that are getting better every day. Special kind of love.

What do safety, Jesus, love, and fun all have in common? We need willing volunteers in our Special Needs Classrooms that are all about:

  • Helping others experience the love of Jesus
  • Having a ton of fun
  • Maintaining a safe and comfortable experience for all

You don’t need a background in special education or even have experience volunteering with people with disabilities. Choosing to volunteer is a big step, but a rewarding one that is worth it!

We honor God when we serve others. His desire is for us to use our diverse types of gifts from Him to benefit those around us. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 says, “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone, it is the same God at work.”

Each of us has something unique to contribute, but most importantly, our part, is to put our faith in action and serve. The best news about serving in the special needs’ class is that we aren’t asking you to be qualified. Come with a willing heart, ready to love, have fun, and keep them safe. We will train and equip you to serve to the best of your abilities. So come join us…get ready to experience a special kind of love!!
