What can I expect on a Sunday?

At the Met you can expect multiple musical styles and songs. Our heart is to lead with excellence and authenticity. We’ll play songs you’ve heard on the radio, sing hymns that have been sung for centuries, introduce worship songs we’ve written, and songs from other churches around the world. Our goal every week is to help our church as a whole focus on Jesus, for He alone is worthy of our praise.

We believe our role in the local church body is to creatively and authentically provide an atmosphere of worship where people can get their focus onto God who alone brings life transformation. We believe this is best done as a team and in community. We value discipleship at the MET and that is a huge part of our team. We are constantly trying to raise up other musicians, singers, and worship leaders. The bible says that our goal as pastors should be to equip the saints for works of ministry, and so we try to intentionally raise up others (Eph 4:11-12). With that said, we hold high standards on our team both musically and spiritually. As platform servants we are a public ministry and we take our role very serious as we stand before any group of people we serve. We want to give God our best and know He deserves far more!

Worship Arts at the MET is a large team that currently serves at 2 campuses (Jones Rd & Cypress). We have teams that serve in Kids ministry, Student Ministry (the MIX) in our student building, and help lead two different Sunday morning services each week. There are many opportunities to get involved locally with the Worship Arts team. To get started, take a few minutes and fill out this application.

The Met Collective

The MetCollective is a traveling band that was born out of the worship team at the Met. The MetCollective gets the opportunity to take what God is doing here at the MET and travel across the country. The MetCollective is made up of a core team of 7 worship leaders who help lead at Youth Camps, Conferences, and Disciple Shift (DS1) training events. Much of the original music at the Met comes from this team. Even though the core team is 7 members, we collaborate with many people on our worship arts team as well as other artists around the US. For more information please check out the bands website.
