A New Season for Student Ministry
This fall, we’re introducing some exciting changes to Student Ministry at The Met as we create more intentional environments for Middle School and High School students to grow in their faith, build relationships, and take next steps with Jesus.
We’re still one student ministry family, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
WHY WE’RE MAKING THIS CHANGE
Why the Shift?
Junior High and High School students are in very different stages of life.
They face different pressures, ask different questions, and grow in different ways. By creating more intentional environments for each age group, we believe we can better disciple students and help them build a faith that lasts.
This isn’t about separating students because something is wrong. It’s about creating healthier pathways for growth, connection, and discipleship.
What’s Staying the Same?
- We are still ONE student ministry family
- Camps remain together for 7th–12th grade
- Major events and key experiences remain shared
- Our mission has not changed:
- helping students know Jesus
- build meaningful relationships
- and live out their faith

When do these changes begin?
These changes will begin rolling out in Fall 2026.
Will students still be together sometimes?
Yes. Camps, major events, worship nights, and special experiences will continue to bring Middle School and High School students together.
Is Sunday morning student ministry going away?
No. Student programming will still be available Sunday mornings at 9:30am, but the format and focus will evolve to better support spiritual growth and discipleship.
Why separate Junior High and High School?
Students in these age groups are navigating very different stages of life. This allows us to create environments, teaching, and discipleship opportunities that are more intentional and age-appropriate.
What if this schedule is difficult for our family?
We understand that change may require adjustments for some families. Our team wants to partner with you and help students stay connected and engaged as we move into this new season together.
