Baptism

Baptism is a powerful way to tell the story of what Jesus has done in your life. When you’re baptized, you’re publicly identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection. It’s an outward expression of an inward reality that you’ve been made new in Christ.

We believe baptism doesn’t save you, Jesus does. But it is an important first step of obedience in following Him. Baptism is a way to say, “I belong to Jesus, and I’m all in.”

Am I Ready to Be Baptized?

If you’ve put your trust in Jesus, baptism may be your next step. Here are a few questions to help you consider:

•    Do you believe that all of us, including you, fall short of God’s standard and are separated from Him by sin? (Romans 3:23)

•    Do you understand that sin has a cost—and that cost is death? (Romans 6:23)

•    Do you believe salvation is a gift from God, not something you can earn by your own effort? (Ephesians 2:8–9)

•    Do you believe God showed His love by sending His Son, Jesus, to die in your place—taking on the punishment for your sin? (John 3:16; Romans 5:8)

•    Have you personally put your trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord? (Romans 10:9–10)

•    With all your heart, do you desire to follow Jesus and walk with Him for the rest of your life? (Colossians 1:10)
If you can answer “yes” to these, you’re ready.
