Help Equip Students for the School Year

As a church, we believe small acts of generosity can make a lasting impact. This summer, The Met is partnering with Moore Elementary and Bleyl Middle School to help students start the school year equipped, confident, and ready to learn.

Here’s the reality: not every child walks into school with the supplies they need. And many teachers spend their own money to help fill the gap.

Together, we can change that. Our goal is to provide 200 fully packed backpacks for students in our partner schools and for families within our own church who could use a little extra support this school year.

Here’s How It Works
The Met is purchasing all 200 backpacks. What we need from you is help filling them. Every supply you donate goes directly into a backpack for a student.

 

Ways to Help

• Fill a Backpack (highest commitment)
  Choose a grade level at Moore or Bleyl, download the corresponding supply list, purchase the supplies, and bring them to The Met lobby on Sundays, July 5-19. Every supply you donate goes directly into a backpack for a student.
• Shop Our Most Needed Items List (medium commitment)
  Short on time or unable to fill an entire backpack? Download our bookmark-sized list featuring the most requested school supplies and pick up a few extra items while you’re shopping. Every item helps equip a student for the school year.
• Give Financially (easiest commitment)
  Make a financial gift and we’ll purchase supplies on your behalf and help complete backpacks for students in need.

A backpack may seem simple. But for a child, it can mean showing up prepared, confident, and ready to learn. 200 kids. 200 backpacks. Let’s do this together.

Collection Dates
Bring supplies to the lobby on Sundays between July 5–19.

Back 2 School Sunday
On August 9, we’ll pray over these backpacks, the students who will receive them, and the teachers and administrators preparing for a new school year before delivering them to Moore Elementary and Bleyl Middle School.
