Meet Our Lead Pastor, Ky Faciane

Main Image

Hello MET family! My name is Ky Faciane. Pronounced Kee Fa-ci-ane (fash-shawn). I am honored to be your Lead Pastor. The past several months have been a joy as I have gotten to know you as a church through your Search Team, Elders, and Lead Team. I'd like to introduce myself and let you know a little about who I am, and even some of the Lord's work in my life.

About Ky Faciane

Bio: Raised in a Christian home in Pensacola, FL, Ky Faciane felt called to ministry after rededicating his life to the Lord at a Christmas program in 1998. Despite straying from his faith during his high school and college years, Ky fully surrendered to Jesus Christ in 1999. This transformation ignited a deep passion for God’s Word, the Church, prayer, and evangelism. Later that year, Ky answered God’s call to full-time vocational ministry, being licensed at First Baptist Bossier in LA and ordained two years later by Prestonwood Baptist Church in TX.

Ky has served in multiple pastoral roles across several churches, gaining extensive experience in ministry. He holds a BS in Business Administration from LSU-Shreveport and an MDIV from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry.

Ky has been married to Christy for 26 years, whom he met in college at the University of Mobile. They have three children: Laura Leigh, a Baylor graduate working in Manhattan; Lilibeth, a University of Arkansas sophomore studying fashion merchandising; and Will, a high school junior and football player.

Philosophy of Ministry

  • The Local Church: The Church exists to glorify God by fulfilling the Great Commission and obeying the Great Commandment. Locally, this means REACHING unbelievers with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, CONNECTING believers into the Church and biblical community, EQUIPPING them to follow Jesus wisely and virtuously, and GOING into the world to plant and develop churches in places where the Gospel is most needed.
  • Missions: Globally, the Church fulfills the Great Commission by planting and developing churches that strive to obey the Great Commandment in areas where the Gospel is most needed (Acts 1:8).
  • Preaching: My preaching is centered on Gospel-centered expositional sermons, with a focus on apologetics and evangelism. I aim to open the Scriptures to the church, trusting God’s Spirit to bless His Church through the Word.
  • Leadership: I am a service-oriented, relational leader who thrives in team environments.
  • Focus: As Lead Pastor, my primary tasks would be to preach the Word with courage and conviction, serve and love the people, lead the Elders and Staff through servant-leadership, and model Christ-likeness to the best of my ability.
