Missions

Missions Vision 2025

The MET's mission strategy is to cultivate meaningful relationships with Christ-centered churches and organizations dedicated to uplifting human dignity and making disciples of Jesus. Our work with our mission partners is manifested through three impactful avenues:

We Equip
  • We invest our time and God-given talents in ways that inspire and fortify the mission of our global partners.
  • We provide coaching, consulting, and training, focusing on strategic humanitarian and disciple-making initiatives.
  • We serve in a posture of humility with the desire to also learn from our partners and grow in effectiveness locally.
We Support
  • We invest our resources to help fund our partners’ work.
We Send
  • We mobilize our people to engage in God’s redemptive work locally and globally.
  • We come alongside local leadership to address their needs and advance their mission.
  • We recognize that our experiences shape us into the image of Christ, so we approach missions with humility and a servant’s heart.

LET'S LOVE LOCAL! | OCT 11 & OCT 18

We’re partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build and deliver beds for kids in our community who don’t have one. From cutting wood to delivering bunk beds to front doors, this is hands-on compassion at its best, and we need your help! Choose to build Oct 11 or Oct 18 delivery day!

Let’s join our friends at Habitat for Humanity for 2 days of hands-on service, investing in real families and making a tangible impact in our local community. Choose Oct 11 or Oct 18!

We’ll tour the campus, help clean cottages, play games with kids, and work in the vegetable garden. It’s a chance to build relationships and show God’s love in practical ways Oct 11 at  Boys & Girls Country.

Our checklist of eight essentials for evaluating potential missions’ partnerships:

1. Is their mission and vision clear?
2. Do they desire a meaningful relationship with The MET?
3. Can we effectively mobilize the people of The MET to serve, support, and make a difference?
4. Do we have confidence in the character and capacity of their leadership?
5. Are their mission and efforts gospel-centered?
6. Financially, is there a structure and system of fiscal responsibility and accountability?
7. Does this partnership opportunity come from someone within The MET?
8. Are they interested in relational discipleship? (Currently or potentially)
